Educators know that all students must be in interactive relationships with mentors and instructors. Now, with access to unlimited virtual space and time for instruction, the teacher’s role becomes connector, mentor, guide, and evaluator. The teachers necessary for the 21st Century set the parameters within which specific learning takes place. They set the focus of learning and design or access the resources most applicable to what is being taught. These challenging teachers do that with the goal of making each student a self-directed interdisciplinary learner.
